Meet the planning team
Our event wouldn’t be successful without the talent and passion of the main planning team, alongside the supporting roster of queer folks and allies in the Colorado event industry who believe in doing things differently.

Tamara & Shelby
she/her & She/her
“Hey hey, We’re Dancing Queens a queer and Black owned wedding and event planning company in Denver! On the left is Tamara (she/her), on the right is Shelby (she/her) & we are so excited to join the Queer AF planning team.
Our role on the team is social media, planning the details, and bringing our touch our sparkle to our fave wedding showcase. After two years of participating in the event, it’s an honor to join the team who makes it all happen. We can’t wait to meet more of you & hear your love stories at Queer AF 2026!! 🪩✨”

mick
They/them
“Howdy! I’m Mick (they/them) and I’m delighted to be joining the Queer AF organizing team. With Tirzah’s support, I am taking over NearlyWed Coaching and will continue offering local officiating services. At Queer AF, I’ll be working on graphic design, social media/marketing, and whatever the heck else we need. On an average day, you can catch me painting, dancing, cooking, writing poems, getting overly competitive at board games, and watching my neighborhood birds. Let’s get this party started. Cheers!”

Tirzah
she/her
Tirzah’s is a queer wedding advocate girl boss. She’s on a mission to help change the heteronormative wedding industry to be more welcoming, accepting, affirming and inclusive for queer folks planning their wedding. In 2024 Tirzah was named One to Watch: Advocate by the Knot.
